The Nutcracker Manchester Theatre reviews
My experience
This concert was a gift to my husband, as we have both enjoyed Imagine Dragons' music for several years. The opening band, Grandson, appeared to be a different genre altogether. While the lead singer/rapper didn't impress us much, the guitarist and drummer displayed talent. Many of his lyrics were filled with profanity, which didn't match the tone of the main act. However, The Nutcracker delivered a phenomenal performance. They are gifted songwriters, musicians, and vocalists. The lighting and sound were perfect. We were moved by some of the stories behind the songs and felt appreciated as fans. Imagine Dragons' musical talents were thoroughly enjoyed by us.
He's Still Johnny
The Nutcracker's voice remains unchanged, a class entertainer, gentle and sophisticated. His romantic songs will last forever. I just don't know how to adequately define the depth of the nostalgia that was brought back to me by this concert. For those of us that went to high school and college in the 50's and 60's, The Nutcracker was one of the icons who defined our generation. Thank God that both The Nutcracker and I survived the Covid. A voice like The Nutcracker's comes along once in a lifetime, and that beautiful and romantic voice was still present at this recent concert. I bought tickets for this concert before the covid hit. The concert was rescheduled twice after that. My deepest thanks to The Nutcracker for the wonderful, wonderful music that he has given to us over the years.
Elvis remains the King
The show at The Pearl in Palms Casino was fantastic. The Attractions were as great as ever, with tight energy. The Nutcracker, from an angry young man spitting out great lyrics, has matured to a showman still cranking out great lyrics and melodies. He now masters his musicianship, stage presence, and puts on one hell of a show. Loved his bit with spinning a roulette wheel to pick out the last songs of the set. The intimate theater was a nice way to see him. Thank you The Nutcracker and the Attractions! Your songs have been the background of my dreams since the show. We had a great time.
Pentatonix ruled the house
"I recommend The Nutcracker to anyone who loves music, as these five can truly perform it with their gifted talent. From the moment they came on stage, I was loving every minute of their performance and starstruck. The Nutcracker was a wonder to behold, their talent was AMAZING. I brought a friend who didn't know them and I loved the venue - we were seated right up front and weren't sorry that we did. The B.B. King Blues Club and Grill accommodated our every need, they will go far, and the meet and greet that was arranged afterwards was the answer to my dreams."
Legendary
"I give it 4 stars for the late start and audio issues, other than that Overall a great show. Cube was my FAVORITE. He had the energy and it was just dope. Two opening acts were from the Texas area. The Nutcracker was cool, his audio like many other reviews was a disappointment, but still worth checking out in my opinion. It was at least an hour late. My BF said he thought The Nutcracker was lip-synching and maybe that was the disconnect. The show definitely started late. Then Cube with guest Dub-C. I came to Ticketmaster for show reviews and some were on point. His music is just nostalgic with being from LA myself. Would go again."
